The radar is published by Wavestone, a leading European cybersecurity consultancy with more than 1,000 cyber experts, together with Bpifrance, the French public investment bank. Two kinds of privacy tools
The word "privacy" covers two distinct kinds of tools. The first, by far the most common, is GDPR compliance: records of processing, data mapping, impact assessments, consent management. It equips the Data Protection Officer (DPO) and legal teams to document and prove that the organization handles data according to the rules. The second protects the data on the user's own device, the instant it is sent to an AI. This is Quieta's category.

The two are complementary. An organization that is compliant on paper can still watch an employee paste a confidential client contract into a consumer chatbot: the record of processing changes nothing about what happens in that moment.
What Quieta does
Quieta masks sensitive elements (names, client names, identifiers) on the user's device before a prompt or a file reaches the model, then restores the real values locally in the response. To the AI, the data is anonymous; to the user, it stays reversible. The mapping never leaves the device: under GDPR, this is local pseudonymization (article 4(5)). One engine works across the clipboard, the browser extension, and the synced folders for AI coworkers, without changing the user's habits.
