Quieta V2 is here
Quieta moves to version 2. The headline change: Mirror, a feature that automatically masks entire folders before an AI agent can access them, then hands the agent's documents back to you with the real values. To our knowledge, Quieta is the first app to do this through a local-first architecture. It is available today.
With this version, protection no longer stops at the clipboard. It now covers AI coworkers, the agents that work directly inside your files.
Mirror: two folders, one reality
Mirror is two synchronized folders. Yours holds your real files. The agent's holds only masked versions, where identifiers are replaced with markers. The sync is automatic: whatever you add shows up on the agent's side, masked; whatever the agent creates or edits comes back to you, with the real values reinjected.
Masking targets the identifying elements, client names, contracts, case names, not the structure of your work. The agent gets a complete, coherent workspace without ever seeing a single piece of real data. Mirror gives the agent a masked folder, and hands its documents back to you with the real values, automatically.
Why now
Until now, privacy with AI came down to one question: what happens to the text I paste into ChatGPT? AI coworkers change the scale of the problem. Claude Cowork, Mistral Vibe Work or Codex for Work no longer settle for a prompt, they open your folders to work. With AI coworkers, it is no longer a prompt that leaves for the model, it is access to your entire workspace. Mirror is our answer to that shift.
Everywhere you touch AI
Mirror adds to what Quieta already protected. The Chrome extension covers browser AIs (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini): it masks what you paste on the fly, and shows the real values back to you alone. The secure clipboard does the same for your other apps. Three surfaces, one logic, local-first: nothing leaves your machine in clear text.
